My Journey of Document Verification & Attestation in Peshawar (With Step-by-Step Guidance for Students)

 

For the last 3–4 days, my routine has been full of running around, waiting in queues, and dealing with official processes. Honestly, it was exhausting, but also a valuable experience. Anyone planning to study abroad (especially in China) must go through document verification, attestation, and police clearance procedures. Since I’ve just completed these steps in Peshawar, I want to share my journey and also guide others.

✅ Step 1: Educational Document Verification

The first step is to get your educational certificates verified. In Peshawar, this is done through IBCC (Inter Board Committee of Chairmen) and HEC (Higher Education Commission) depending on your level.

• Matric & Intermediate certificates → IBCC

• Bachelor’s or higher → HEC

You’ll need to submit copies, original certificates, CNIC, and payment challans. The process takes time, so patience is key.

✅ Step 2: Attestation from MOFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)

Once your documents are verified, the next step is MOFA attestation. In Peshawar, the MOFA camp office is usually very crowded. You have to:

1. Fill out the online form on MOFA Apostille Portal

2. Upload your documents

3. Pay the required fee

4. Then visit the office for final attestation

This step confirms your documents are officially recognized for use abroad.

✅ Step 3: Police Clearance Certificate

For studying or living abroad, a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is also required.
In Peshawar, you can apply at the CCPO office or the local police station. The process:

1. Take your CNIC and passport copies

2. Fill out the form

3. Submit your fingerprints (sometimes required)

4. Wait for verification from your local police station

5. Collect the PCC within a few days

🕒 My Personal Experience

I spent 3–4 days continuously visiting different offices—sometimes standing in long lines, sometimes waiting for signatures. The heat, traffic, and the back-and-forth was tiring. But in the end, holding my verified and attested documents felt like an achievement.

This process teaches you sabr (patience) and also how to deal with government departments. For future students, my advice is:

• Always carry multiple photocopies

• Keep extra passport-size photos

• Go early in the morning to avoid long waits

• Stay calm and respectful with staff

🌍 میری دستاویزات کی تصدیق اور پولیس کلیئرنس کا تجربہ (پشاور سے)

گزشتہ 3–4 دن میری زندگی بہت بھاگ دوڑ، قطاروں میں انتظار اور سرکاری دفاتر کے چکر لگانے میں گزرے۔ یہ کافی تھکا دینے والا تجربہ تھا لیکن سیکھنے والا بھی۔ جو طلبہ بیرون ملک پڑھائی کے لیے جانا چاہتے ہیں، خاص طور پر چین، ان کو لازمی طور پر یہ مراحل طے کرنے پڑتے ہیں۔

✅ پہلا مرحلہ: تعلیمی دستاویزات کی تصدیق

• میٹرک اور ایف اے/ایف ایس سی → IBCC

• بی اے یا اس سے اوپر → HEC

اصل اور فوٹو کاپیاں ساتھ لے جانا لازمی ہے۔

✅ دوسرا مرحلہ: وزارتِ خارجہ (MOFA) سے تصدیق

MOFA کا آن لائن پورٹل ہے جہاں آپ پہلے درخواست جمع کرتے ہیں، فیس ادا کرتے ہیں اور پھر پشاور کے دفتر جا کر دستاویزات کی تصدیق کرواتے ہیں۔

✅ تیسرا مرحلہ: پولیس کلیئرنس سرٹیفیکیٹ

پشاور میں یہ سرٹیفیکیٹ CCPO آفس یا قریبی تھانے سے لیا جا سکتا ہے۔ شناختی کارڈ اور پاسپورٹ کی کاپیاں ساتھ رکھیں۔ چند دن کے اندر کلیئرنس مل جاتی ہے۔

🕒 میرا ذاتی تجربہ

دن تک مسلسل دوڑ دھوپ، گرمی اور قطاروں میں انتظار نے تھکا دیا لیکن آخر میں جب تمام کاغذات ہاتھ میں آئے تو سکون     ملا۔

میری نصیحت:

• فوٹو کاپی اور تصاویر زیادہ رکھیں

• صبح جلدی جائیں

• صبر اور نرمی کے ساتھ بات کریں
